Abstract

       Our project “BUS RESERVATION” is developed for the end users to reservation the bus ticket. This system is developed to book the bus tickets from the software. The members details are created by the administrator. The admin can check the available bus details and they can book the bus ticket from this system. If the user want to cancel the ticket, they can cancel using the cancel module. The users can also view the bus details by entering the from place and to place. New bus details can be added, deleted or viewed by the administrator. The administraor can modify or delete the passenger details. The reprots in this project are member reports, reservation reports and bus reports.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

         The project titled as bus reservation system is developed in vb.net as front end and ms access as back end. The main aim of the project is to create a booking system for the bus company.

Login The administrator should enter the username and password to enter into the project. If the username and password are correct, the main form will open. If it is wrong it will say error message. The username and password are registered to new user through registration form. The member should enter the registered username and password to book a ticket.

Bus Details

The members can view the bus details from the system. If the member enters the starting place and ending place, then the system will show all bus details in the particular source and destination.

Passenger Details

The admin can add new passengers to this booking system. The passenger details contains the passenger name, address, phone number and email id. The entered passenger details can be modified or deleted by the admin.

Reservation

The reservation form  shows the list of bus on the source and destination places. Then the member should select a bus and select the date of journey. Then the member should enter the number of children, number of gents, number of ladies to the required fields. The system will calculate the number of tickets required and the amount should be paid for the journey. Then the reservation will be completed

Cancellation The member can use the PNR number to cancel the reserved ticket. If the details are correct, it will cancel the reserved ticket from the list.

Reports

The administrator can view all reports of the member details. This report contains the member login id, name, address, phone number and address. The reservation report shows all reserved tickets of the bus. The member can easily view the bus reports from a place to another place.

I will be in general format like Abstract, System requirements, Existing sytem, Proposed system, About the software, Project description, Form design, Coding, Conclusion and Bibliography. If you want to add any thing, you have to do yourself.

Visual Studio 2010 must required to run the project.
